I started to take a big interest in VB.NET as soon as it came out, having done so much in VB 6.0. My biggest project in this language to date was writing my own scripting language (called SPLATTO Compiler) and writing a compiler for it in Assembly. VB was the first language I learned and two software programs I have written in it – including SPLATTO Compiler - have been successful in competing in science fairs at the national level. Another project I have written was an arcade game similar to the game Bejeweled, complete with graphics and sprites designed by a friend who had been studying graphical arts. I have used VB to make other projects such as calculation and data editing utilities, and complete database driven software using Oracle, MS SQL Server 2000, MS Access, and MySQL. I have been using VB for 10 years.
