My introduction to databases was to relational databases, and have a full decade of developing queries for this type of database using joins etc. I also understand the concept of database normalization and have created and utilized an exhaustive amount of ERD’s. Most of the databases I have worked with and designed have been relational tables, however I am recently realizing the speed benefit of storing data in flat tables.
